Reading about Felix's great escape made me remember a story that his foster parent told me that I had forgotten all about.

She left Felix and her dog in the car in the White Spot parking lot while she went inside to have lunch with a friend. She left the window open a tiny bit for air. She was sitting at a window table, and outside of this window was a huge big bush with flowers all over it.

They had been in the restaurant about ten minutes, and up through the bush pops Felix's head, staring straight at them through the window. (Their window was round the back of the restaurant, as far away from the car as possible, so he must have looked in every window.) By the time she got up and ran to the door, he was sitting at the front door of White Spot waiting for her. It sounds like his ultimate goal is to "find the human" and not run away.

I am so pleased to hear he is doing well. Sorry to hear about your socks, My aunt's Shepherd ate a full pair of panty hose, and they came out the other end. Of course when my uncle tells the story he says that the dog washed them and they didn't even have a run in them.
