Animal Advocates Watchdog

Problems with SPCA are not unique to BC... similar things are happening in Ontario as well... Here is just one of many stories from Ontario... *LINK* *PIC*

On October 29, 2005 it was brought to the attention of the Toronto German Shepherd Dog Rescue club that a 3 yr old German Shepherd Dog named “Hobo” was listed for adoption on the SPCA website. I volunteered to visit him at the shelter to assess him. Hobo was confused, but very approachable, food and toy motivated, friendly with other dogs and cats. He enjoyed a walk on a leash, responded happily to numerous commands, clearly enjoyed attention he was getting… We had a perfect, experienced new home ready for him…

The following link will tell you what transpired over the following week and how it ended with SPCA killing an innocent, friendly, beautiful German Shepherd Dog named Hobo.

I was once someone who thought that SPCA were there to help, heal and find loving homes for those pets that desperately deserved a secure home and family to live out their lives. How wrong and misinformed I now think I was.
