Big Heart Rescue conducts a very similar program in the small isolated First Nation communities of Bella Bella, Shearwater and Klemtu

Congratulations to PAF and the Kwikwaystway Pet Program for being pro-active and preventing so many unwanted litters from being born. This, coupled with the vaccination program, will most certainly make a difference to all the companion animals who benefit by this partnership.

Big Heart Rescue conducts a very similar program in the small isolated First Nation communities of Bella Bella, Shearwater and Klemtu. By providing vaccination clinics, sterilization and basic medical care we have seen a reduction in diseases such as Parvo and Distemper, we have experienced more and more community members reaching out to have their companions spayed or neutered and children are learning humane animal welfare by attending the clinics and observing the BHR team at work.

We anticipate a meeting with the new Chief and Council (those elected will be announced April 28th) to discuss a one year calendar program where clinics will be set on a quarterly basis, so community members can continue to anticipate medical support all year long.

Private rescue and small non-profit groups are making a difference!
