"No one will accept non-medical euthanasia"

In a radio interview Karl Fournier said that "No one will accept non-medical euthanasia".

No - not when there are so many eyes on the zoo. And 'non-medical euthanasia' is a sophistry - it is a logical impossibility. Euthanasia only means hastening death to relieve unrelievable suffering - it can't mean to kill animals for space or convenience or for cost.

Anyone or agency that uses the word euthanasia to descrbe killing for space or conveneince or cost is deliberately misleading.
