Why is the SPCA interested in Snowball's welfare now? *LINK* *PIC*

In February, after the SPCA told animal-lovers that they can't go on reserves without band permission (not true) so they couldn't investigate reports of untreated injuries to Snowball's legs, AAS got Snowball to our vet, had the injuries attended to, had him neutered, and had him treated for fleas.

A few days ago the SPCA went on the reserve and ordered Snowball's owners to get his leg examined by the vet again. Snowball's owner said that Snowball was in plain sight of the inspector who could have looked for himself, but instead the inspector ordered that Snowball go back to the vet.

Today we met Snowball at our vet again to see for ourselves. There was nothing to treat. There are scabs that are significantly smaller than they were in February so they are healing.

But by gum, the ever-vigilant SPCA is right on top of this case! Could this excess of zeal have anything to do with the fact that AAS has been helping Snowball and paying his bills? We'd hate to think so.
