Animal Advocates Watchdog

Conservation Officers in B.C.

I have a question that has been in the back of my mind for some time. I watch several newscasts almost every day. In none of them, over many years, have I ever witnessed one Conservation Officer do anything but murder one animal or another.

Has anyone an instance where a British Columbia Conservation Officer has done any "conserving"? I really would like to hear of one. Perhaps I have an out of date definition for the word "conservation". If this is the case, would the Ministry, or any Conservation Officer, please inform me of any shift in denotation or connotation of this term.

One of them was at it again on the news last night threatening to kill a dog that went after a deer. On the following news spot, one town in B.C. is considering allowing humans to murder deer that have moved in too close to town because they are becoming a bother. Perhaps they're eating too many prize petunias. BUT, that's an entirely different story.
