TORONTO -- An Ontario zoo slammed for its alleged treatment of a kangaroo is urging people to judge for themselves if the animal is being mistreated.

The World Society for the Protection of Animals says the cage housing Tyson at the Lickety Split Zoo in London, Ont., is far too small for an animal that can jump lengths of three metres. The cage measures three metres by 2.5 metres.

The Lickety Split Zoo says people should "come down and see for themselves" how the roo is being treated.
