This facility should be forced to shut down permanently

Ongoing problems

It's not just the death of the baby giraffe at the Greater Vancouver Zoo that distresses me.

It is the ongoing alleged inhumane treatment of the animals in its care and the apparent arrogance of the staff in trying to defend what they are doing.

This facility should be forced to shut down permanently. If we let it continue year after year, it is as if we are condoning it.

I had hoped that, when the zoo changed hands, things would improve. But that's not the case.

As an animal lover, I find this situation despicable, and it has been going on for years. Anyone taking their family to this zoo is simply encouraging them to continue in this appalling way.
