Guardians do not buy property....

When reading these stories one cannot help but wonder how these tragedies happen.

How does anyone dump an old dog at an SPCA and simply turn around and buy a new younger dog?
How does one simply purchase a dog for guarding purposes? Or to simply stick on the end of a chain?

Does the BC SPCA not have an application process?
Does the application process not allow the BC SPCA to turn down potentially awful home situations for the dogs in their care?
One would have thought so.

Using the words "guardian", adopt, and whatever new language terms the BC SPCA wants mean absolutely nothing unless homechecks, and thorough screenings are done on the dogs they rehome.

Until that happens the BC SPCA is simply reselling used property.
