Animal Advocates Watchdog

No exploitation of one species of animal for the supposed benefit of another - such a simple, logical idea

From factory farmed meat at fund-raisers to profiting from animal abuse at the PNE, the SPCA is still clearly not getting the message.
On Saltspring, the SPCA has a doggie daycare - profits to the SPCA for Fall Fair goers, so that they can go and ogle the caged animals.
I like their idea of having an area for off-islanders to leave their dogs at the fair, but how about this - no caged animals at the fair, no factory farmed meat for sale at the fair, and so on?
No exploitation of one species of animal for the supposed benefit of another - such a simple, logical idea, but the SPCA dosen't get it - even though they would make at least as much in profits from veggie burgers, as from dead cattle.
