ACTION ALERT - Protest Japan's dolphin killing

Subject: Protest outside Vancouver Aquarium Wed.Sept.20

ACTION ALERT

Please join us at Wednesday's protest outside the Vancouver Aquarium to
bring attention to the fact that they are buying performing dolphins from
Japan, the country that kills tens of thousands of dolphins every year for
pet food and saves a few to sell to aquariums. There is no such thing as
a dolphin "rescue" in Japan because even if a dolphin is caught
accidentally in a fishing net, by law the fishermen are not allowed to
release the dolphin. In Japan, all captured whales and dolphins must be
killed or sold to aquariums.

JAPAN DOLPHIN DAY

WEDNESDAY, Sept. 20, 2006
>From Noon to 1pm
Protest outside the Vancouver Aquarium

Vancouverites will join 58 other international NGOs represented in 29
cities on September 20th to protest the annual slaughter of dolphins in
Japan.

With your participation, we can send a powerful protest message to
government officials in Tokyo during this short timeframe.
