The examination of animal behaviour, in most instances, proceeds from the human bias to the animal

Some of this type of investigation can be dangerous for the animals. Species are distinct. Each species has a particular set of factors that it offers to the whole; what is appropriately described as interdependent-co-arising. While there is interdependent communication between species, it does not necessitate, and perhaps should not necessitate, being anthropomorphized. Each species is unique and should be appreciated for its uniqueness. The idea that disease experiments on animals have anything to offer to the human species seems to me to be ludicrous because the uniqueness always outweighs the correspondence. The examination of animal behaviour, in most instances, proceeds from the human bias to the animal. I trust more those attempts at understanding our fellow beings that move from their point of view to a possible correlation with the human point of view and not vice versa. While consciousness functions in each species, emphases of that consciousness differs from species to species. When all consciousenesses are considered together then, and only then, are we more apt to discover what consciousness, in and of itself, actually is. Interdependent co-arising postulates that a dog is different from a cat. If it were not so, one or the other would cease to be. The implications of this postulate indicate that anything to the contrary is human manipulation and is therefore largely invalid in truth.

At the same time, when Rosie looks at me with her moon eyes, I know that the greater portion of consciousness and its interpretation by various species is in need of all that binds species together and abhors that which separates.
