The Strength of Many -- The Best Ever International Compassionate Living Festival!

Thank You for Making The Strength of Many -- Los Angeles The Best Ever International Compassionate Living Festival!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Animal Advocates,

More than 225 animal advocates, students, scholars, experts, speakers and exhibitors recently came together in Los Angeles as the "Strength of Many"!

In the spirit of learning from others in order to help others, speakers with experience related to varied causes came together to help us collectively rise to the challenge of our humane struggle. For example, Julie Chavez Rodriguez and Christine Chavez discussed animal issues and the Latino community, historian Diane Beers spoke about how the eighteenth century founders of the anti-cruelty movement also challenged the mistreatment of children, and Bart Grazulski explained why nonviolence is fundamental to the animal rights struggle. We were honored to have as a special guest speaker California Assemblyperson Mark Ridley-Thomas, who champions animal issues in Sacramento.

Stay tuned for future announcements on the 2007 International Compassionate Living Festival!
