The luckiest dogs spend all day with their loved-ones. Our society has far too many lonely dogs, taken "out" once a day if they are lucky. Some not even that. Their owners lavish food, vet care, treats, and accessories on their neglected dogs. All the dog wants is to never be alone. That is why AAS does not place dogs in homes where the dog will be alone for long hours, or only be walked around the block when they do get out.

Dogs are not here to serve our part-time need for their love and loyalty.
