PBS/Nature documentary "Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History" *LINK*

As the organization that has been in the forefront of working to stop research on chimpanzees and save them from the labs for over 13 years, In Defense of Animals urges everyone to watch the important upcoming PBS/Nature documentary "Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History" airing this Sunday evening, November 5, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. EST on PBS (please check your local listings).
The documentary tells the stories of hundreds of chimpanzees saved from chimpanzee research labs, two of which—The Coulston Foundation and New York University's Laboratory for Experimental Medicine and Surgery in Primates—were shut down amidst intense IDA investigations and campaigns.

The program was written, produced and directed by Allison Argo, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker. IDA Research Director Eric Kleiman provided Ms. Argo with extensive support and documentation relating to IDA's 13 years of work on these issues. We congratulate Ms. Argo and PBS for bringing this important and painful subject to the attention of viewers nationwide.
