Thanks for your support Lori - I actually called the president of our Yukon Teacher's Association a couple of years ago to complain and was told that I had to go through a process of:
a) contact the offending teacher first (there are actually many teachers spreading this propaganda);
b) if unresolved, contact the school principal
c) next contact the Yukon Government Department of Education
d) then contact the Teachers' Association (I may have mixed up the last two)

Anyway, it is a pretty sad comment on Yukon Society that animal cruelty is promoted to school children. Thanks again for your words.
