There is no way a POUND should be accepting owner surrendered pets

" Voluntary policy of accepting unwanted animals turned in by pet owners"

This facility is a POUND. There is so much wrong here BUT there is no way a POUND should be accepting owner surrendered pets. This removes the incentive for people to spay/neuter and take responsibility for their own animals.

To take owner-surrendered pets and then kill them because they are not easily adoptable is both unethical and immoral.

Unfortunately this also happens in British Columbia albeit on a smaller scale, but it still happens.

Dangerous confusion indeed. A pound, especially one with unlimited surrender MUST kill

We already know about PETA and its lethal solution to pet over-population. Now we have HSUS's "72 hour" solution
