Dear Mr. Michael Steven, President
and the Board of Directors,
BC SPCA
The SPCA has recently been through major public relations turmoil, and from
that reality check, supposedly committed to better practices FOR THE ANIMALS.
(We still cannot quite figure out why the animals always seem to come last in
an organization that is supposed to be in existence TO SERVE THE ANIMALS...)
Evidently, one of the managers of one of the shelters (a place for respite,
care and safety of ANIMALS), Salmon Arm, BC to be specific, BREEDS ANIMALS!
Not to mention, she practices inhumane mutilation in the form of ear cropping.
(At this point (and before), I am shaking my head in disbelief at your hiring
practices!)
Honestly, GIVE ME A BREAK! You folks need to get a dose of REAL, and you
obviously have not heard loudly enough from the recent cries of the public (and
the more melancoly cries of all the animals who should be able to TRUST in your
organization - but obviously cannot!)
If you stop and think about what image your are trying to portray, and MORE
IMPORTANTLY the PRACTICES you should be encouraging for the ANIMALS, employing
an animal BREEDER is beyond logic! THINK about it!
Come on you folks, it is TIME TO GET THINGS RIGHT! FOR THE ANIMALS - REMEMBER
THEM???
