Staying safe with dogs (1day) $150+gst

This is a 1 day course that teaches students how to keep themselves and the dog safe by learning to read, predict and manage dog behaviors. They will learn how to defuse stress and prevent bites, to react appropriately to attack and to stay safe once bitten. 12 student limit.

Staying Safe With Dogs Advanced (3 days) $425+gst

There will be both classroom time as well as hands on time working with, assessing and handling kennel dogs. Limited to a maximum of 10 students so book early!

Kathy & Gary are canine learning and behavior consultants that have been working with dogs and people for over 20 years. They have established programs for the first therapy dogs to assist the physically challenged and therapy dogs in institutions. They founded and for seven years ran Canada’s first Prison Programs for dogs and inmates.

They have taught their seminars on dog behavior, handling and assessing for over 16 years for governments, universities, colleges, technical institutes, shelters, rescue groups, veterinary clinic staff and many other animal professionals.
