Please do not give your pets away free--you make them a target. You can charge a small re-homing fee to help deter predators. Animal testing is a sad reality in this country--Quebec being a leading supplier in NA. In some cities and towns, animals left in shelters for more than a few days can be taken by licensed researchers, with little or no payment to the shelter. Think before you adopt, breed, or buy a pet--will you be its forever home (think 14 years down the road of your life)? Even pure breed dogs and cats end up under the needle for our cosmetics, dog foods, and medicines--will your dog or cat be one? You can help stop the cruelty by purchasing products that have not been tested on animals.
