Letter to Mr Urbani: The majority of consumers are becoming more and more aware of animal cruelty

Subject: Sales idea

Dear Mr. Urbani:
Several weeks ago I wrote you to ask about the discontinuation of rabbit sales in your stores.
To date, I have not received a reply.
Perhaps you feel you can safely ignore one disgruntled customer with regards to what you obviously consider such a minor issue.
I do think you would be wise, however, to realize that the majority of consumers are becoming more and more aware of animal cruelty; yes, even to little rabbits. Many organizations are beginning to put pressure on businesses that deal with vulnerable, helpless animals. The general public is becoming more vocal, and thus generating more publicity about these matters, and our voices are beginning to be heard.
Even if you do not agree that it would be the humane and proper action to discontinue selling animals in your stores, you may want to do so because it will ultimately be good for your business. Thousands of links and web sites are urging the caring consumer to shop where animals are not used and abused and left in dark cages with no stimulation and then replaced by the next batch of backyard-bred animals.
Hopefully, once your bottom line is adversely affected, you will make the right decision. Let's hope you then will be able to draw folks away from the truly compassionate pet supply stores who have already seen the light.
Sincerely,
Diane Esther.

I wonder how long they'll sit before being replaced by more
