It is extremely disturbing that Native/First Nations peoples are breeding sled dogs for racing purposes, especially in light of the deplorable state in which many dogs in northern and remote communities live. Also it is very doubtful that there is any veterinary care at these races. The photos were sent to the Sled Dog Watchdog Coalition by an anonymous source. Very sad to see!
