This is why snakes should not be pets

I found this on Craigs List and I just have to say that I have largely found that people who like "odd" pets are sadly not very educated, as this post shows. We all have to put pressure on all levels of government to ban keeping animals like this poor snake.

Thank you,

i have a 3 foot red tailed boa. i keep him in a 40 gallon cube tank and feed him 2 mice every 17-18 days. i love him to death and i handle him as much as possible but latley he seems like he is always hungry. this week i fed him 3 mice. the next day i went to go see how he was doing and he was purched on his vines waiting for another mouse to walk by. thats what he does when its feeding time. well he seen me coming and instantly striked at the glass. i tryed talk to him, clam him down a bit, but he striked again. so i left him alone. the next day. he was coiled up under his tree. when i went to pick him up to take him out for a while. he striked at me a just missed my hand. maybe i should be feeding him a rat now. i just moved to a new place could that be whats wrong. please if you have any advice i could really use it.
