People who have written Port Alberni SPCA Manager Irene Towell have been told that Missy was adopted by a family in Parksville.

Crystal, who is the person who forced the SPCA to take sick and suffering Missy off her chain in Tofino, asked as many as ten times and was never answered.

If this is the SPCA's version of "open, accountable and transparent" then it still has a fortress mentality that is making more and more enemies out of animal lovers who are willing to work with the SPCA but are routinely shut out.

Worse, the SPCA is still killing dogs because it still prefers to shut out offers of foster homes from rescue organizations.

This needs to be fixed, and soon. No more stonewalling out of pure small-minded spite.
