It would be unfair to expect Craig Daniell to make everything right at the BC SPCA in any less than two years. Actually, it will probably take at least five years to restructure the BC SPCA, it is in such a state of chaos.

We cannot pass judgement on Craig Daniell yet, as he hasn't been given enough time to prove his true intent. His actions over the next year or two will us what he is truly all about.

What we can say though, is that we are hopeful about Craig Daniell. For decades the BC SPCA has been run by seemingly emotionless business people. Craig Daniell is the first executive member to show that he has feelings, and we hope this is a good sign, an indicator that he cares enough about animal welfare to do what is right.

But we shall have to wait and see. There is so much wrong with the BC SPCA , but hopefully Craig Daniell is the one thing that is right. If he is, all else will follow in due time.
