They have no voice - they have no choice

It is the going with whomever they are handed to that makes their fate all the more tragic. Their complete helplessness and innocence.

If they are lucky they go to someone decent. If not "tough luck", their suffering will continue endlessly. They are powerless in our hands. The biggest meanest Rotti has no defence against us. The smallest puppy will find no pity if he lands in cruel hands.

We can sell them, torture them for research, throw them in dumpsters, or bury them alive. Or we can let them sleep on our beds and eat off our plates. But in the end they still have to go with whomever they are handed to. Even by us.
