I have a 14 year old cocker...Let me talk to this person.

Kitanna, who we rescued from a drug dealer, who bought the cute puppy cocker (it was called Magic) for his drug addicted prostitute girlfriend decided at 9 weeks that Magic was so cute he could trade her for some cocaine. This is when the sister of the prostitute, who worked for me and knew my love of animals, called me, sobbing, to buy the $400 unregistered puppy so it did not end up in some other loser's hands that would not spay her and so on.

Well... at 14 & not so glamorous (the Lady & the Tramp Syndrome I call it) Ms Kitanna will be offended by this cocker trash talk. She has had medical problems for the last five years that have cost us ummm... probably close to 4 grand. She stinks, her ears stink, she has old lady cocker lumps everywhere...constant eye infections...has always enjoys a good rug to pee on, especially new ones. We live beside a beautiful park full of happy little children...but Kitanna can't go out there because she would kill every kid in the playground. Instead she just sits at the patio door parking constantly at them all day. Lets see... she hate kids, other dogs, skateboards...baby carriages put her in a state of rage. We live on the ocean but Kitanna has never been able to go to the beach with our other dogs because she tries to kill every man, woman and child in the area.

She requires shots because her hips are gone...constant vet care..and oddly enough she still looks great and she still manages to tear up every piece of toilet paper she can find, tear the crotch out of any pair of undies she happens across, get into garbage and spread it all over the house.

Now she would be a bit put out by my revealing her secrets but from what I under stand she is not the only cocker with this DIVA personality.

All cocker puppies look like "Magic" but for many cocker the magic ends quickly.

Ps. Despite her cocker flaws we love her dearly...but occasionally when signing a $400 vet bill we wonder why we do it..
