Jasper the cat spent eight days in Kamloops SPCA before he too was sold for one dollar. Jasper was emaciated, weighing in at 5 lbs, skin stretched over skeleton, all buried under a filthy coat of matted hair. Jasper had not been seen by a vet. Jasper was sold for one dollar as a neutered male, but a vet check revealed that he was in fact NOT neutered. His intestines were ropey and full of worms. He was dewormed and sent home on a nutrient rich recuperative prescription diet. Unfortunately, Jasper's blood test revealed that he was positive for feline leukemia. As his condition was declining his new owner sadly had him euthanized, only twelve days after the SPCA sold him.
