BC SPCA CEO, Craig Daniell, doen't see much wrong with the Vancouver Aquarium

On November 25th I phoned BC SPCA CEO Craig Daniell and talked to him about my concerns. Mr Daniell told me that the BC SPCA was against using cetaceans for entertainment, but he said that the aquarium does do some very good work and he supports its marine rescue program. I asked him if they would accept a joint fundraiser with puppy mill owners and he thought that was much more extreme than the aquarium.

The Vancouver Aquarium's marine rescue program is nothing that the SPCA or anyone else should be supporting. It is questionable science and has resulted in deaths. The aquarium will not provide supporting data to No Whales in Captivity to show how many are captured, how many are sold to other entertainment facilities, how many are released, and how many die.
