You morons who believe in "freindly rottweilers" and "well behaved mastiffs" are 100% clueless. These animals have been bred for thousands of years to be agressive and dangerous. Now suddenly you think you can reverse genetics with a kiss and a hug. Its like being good to a greyhound and maybe it can't run fast then.

I hate discussions like these because I feel sorry for the poor animals left in such states..but also I feel anger towards the ignorant people who brand all "big, mean looking" dogs as vicious. My hubby and I have two beautiful pit bulls (pure) who would never hurt a soul. They love people, kids, and especially babies. They have never even nipped either of us in play, as they are careful not to connect their mouths with our hands or legs. (They were taught and raised well). Yet every time we take them for a walk, people shy away and yank their dogs as close as they can to them. They think because the dogs advance towards them (because they love people and company) that they are going to attack. I know people have been dumb enough to go out to a park with dangerous dogs, but seriously get a life! Educate yourself on the good dogs and their traits, and realize that the ones out there that are bad have been neglected or trained that way.

While I was in the Turkish Armed Forces I was working with such dogs and they have no place in society
