"Would love a "foster" home, with her food requirements and other needs paid for by the SPCA" This statement is very encouraging. I hope it is one of many similar calls for help in the future from the SPCA branches in BC. If donations from the public can be designated for specific programs within the mandate of the BCSPCA,I urge everyone to support fostering those "senior" pooches who deserve to be given the chance to spend their remaining time here in comfort and with love. Comox Valley SPCA has shown by example what can and should be done for those animals in their care that are so often passed by,simply because of their age and associated healthcare needs.I personally,have not seen a request like this one made by any branch of the SPCA until now. That doesn't mean it has never happened. It does mean,as I have already indicated, that I will be hoping and watching for many more.
