BUT I did See a Tosa advertised locally here! They are similar to Mastiffs and if neutered/spayed and socialized properly are giant teddy bears BUT as with any strong breed it takes a responsible special owner.

Just a note, Tosa fighting is NOT the same as pit fighting! Not saying it's right but during a Tosa fight, the dogs grab each other at the neck and try to push the other dog to the floor. The dog who pushes it's opponent down for about half a minute, is the winner. If the dogs wound each other, the fight is over. It's more like Sumo wresting for dogs. They do not fight to death and aren't allowed to hurt each other! It's still not right but it's not as disgusting as pit fighting.

I am sure we will be seeing more Tosas, more Argentino Dogos and whatever else is "cool" in the "tough dog world".
