Sharp, shifty, shameful, and very much the SPCA's style

We have been told that the Surrey SPCA is blaming the deaths of the six dogs it recently killed on an unfounded suspicion that the dogs may have had distemper.

The suspicion came from Big Heart Rescue's vet who suspected that Willy might have distemper. BHR took Willy from the SPCA because he was scheduled for euthanasia after he contracted kennel cough at the SPCA.

BHR and AAS paid for tests that came back negative for distemper.

Nevertheless, the SPCA used that refuted suspicion to place the blame for its euthanasia of dogs sick with SPCA inflicted kennel cough, a disease that is easily survived. Suspicion is not reason to kill. We don't believe for one minute that the SPCA can't tell the difference between kennel cough and distemper - it has a long, familiar history of inflicting both, and tens of thousands of animals have succumbed to the SPCA's dirty habits and easy needles.

Sharp, shifty, shameful, and very much the SPCA's style. BHR had just sent the media a press release about the mass killings at the Surrey SPCA.

Will the media ever get it? The duty of the press is to get the truth. It is only too happy to assist the SPCA to choose one lucky dog to fundraise with.
