Dear Mr. Dougan,

I am writing to say a big "thank you" for stripping the GVZ of it's accreditation, and to ask that you please NOT give it back if they only improve their hippo enclosure. The list of problems at this horrible place far exceeds just one hippo exhibit, and yet they have the nerve to tell the newspapers that this is their only problem and they will fix it sometime this year. If the owners and management of this place truly believe the hippo exhibit really is their only problem (as they've publicly stated), therein lies the huge obstacle facing your organization in getting other improvements to animal housing and care implemented. It will never happen.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo needs to be closed down and disbanded, permanently.
