Delta SPCA practices real animal welfare *PIC*

Monique
Dog
Basset Hound

Size: Small
Age: Senior
Sex: Female
I.D: 18510

Notes: Monique came in to the shelter with her pals Sebastian and Wanda. Monique is the eldest of the three Basset Hounds left in our care by their ill caregiver. She has had dental surgery and been spayed free of charge at Tsawwassen Animal Hospital, who we wish to thank again for their remarkable care and generosity. She has a grade 3 heart murmur and is on a medication for her heart that she needs to take daily. The cost of this medication is about $20 a month. Her ears are prone to problems so must also be monitored and cleaned often.
Upon arrival:
A breed trait is barking and/or howling and all three do this when in their kennel with each other or alone. They love attention and need some extra tlc as they have had a rough few months. They lost their home, their caregiver and may loose the company of each other. Their next home will have to be very compasionate and understanding. Breed experienced homes would be ideal.
We would love to see all three dogs go to the same home but realize this is a great deal to ask and are prepared to split the trio up if it means placing them sooner. Please come and meet these little gems and take at least one home! Video to come!
This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered

Delta seems to have the money to do real animal welfare while other branches still operate in the dark ages. What happened to "sharing the wealth"?
