Last month SPCA CEO Craig Daniell crowned Irene Towell, the manager of the Port Alberni SPCA, "Investigator of the Year". No one better than Towell fits Daniell's award-winning standards of excellence. The problem is the standards: they are not the animal-loving standards that the public thinks and we shall be providing more and more proof of this allegation.
