Hi Judy,

Thank you for bringing Bear into my life!! I haven’t met him yet but I love him already. I can’t wait to tell him I love him and that he’s home now and will always be safe and warm, and wrap my arms around his furry body to let him know.

I spoke with Shiloh (Bear's Good Samaritan) last night – we had a great talk. You may already know this – Shiloh used to live in Prince George so we got talking about her time volunteering for a cat rescue group here which I also do and some dogs we have concerns about. I am so happy she took that extra step and talked to Bear’s owner and turned his life around. Her vet feels he is about 12 years old, going deaf but other than that everything seems normal.

I’m so excited about him being a part of our family – words can’t express it. I’m so excited about meeting Shiloh. I’ll be getting him a big comfy dog bed just in case his legs are too stiff to jump onto my bed. It will stay right beside my bed so he feels safe. I’m also going to get him a big, soft stuffed toy and some soft squeaky toys – I don’t want anything too hard because his mouth may hurt a bit and I’ll also get an ID tag so I can put it on him as soon as he arrives.

I’ll give him some time to adjust to us and his new home before I bring out the camera and start snapping photos – but as soon as I have some I’ll send them to you.

Rescue people never hear this enough – THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO, YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE DIFFERENCE!! I wish I lived closer so I could come by and give you a huge hug – one day we’ll meet!
