AAS has been saying for ten years that building better orphanges only perpetuates the problem

The lure of shelters is that they attract so much money. My own attitude is that the money has to be spent on root causes, not on mopping up the blood for the next hundred years. To those people who have told me that if they won the lottery they would buy a lot of land for a wonderful shelter, my answer was then and is still... there is not enough land or money on on this planet unless you kill the unadoptables. It is immoral to keep taking and killing as a solution.

I'll say it again.... if I won the lottery, I would spend the money on lawyers, lobbyists, education, and P.R.
