Two amazing victories against fur in Vancouver and Canada in only one week!

After receiving hundreds of customer complaints regarding winter jackets with raccoon dog trim Costco Wholesale has pulled all the jackets from every store accross Canada and they have adopted a fur-free policy!! We have to thank Costco for making such a compassionate decision and for doing it so quickly! service@costco.ca

Only 2 days later, Mantique, a Vancouver based chain of clothing stores with over 7 locations in the lower mainland who has been selling UNLABELED vests with raccoon dog trim, has pledged to be fur free by fall 2008! Although they will no longer be buying anymore fur for the store, Mantique owner has said because he is unable to send the vests back to the supplier (although he is trying), he will continue selling the vests until they are gone. We look forward to next year when Mantique is cruelty free!
