Kelowna is interested in a rabbit sterilization bylaw *LINK*

What was not mentioned in this news piece is the fact that the city is interested in pursuing a sterilization bylaw, which would mean that all bunnies bought and sold would need to be spayed or neutered. The breeder is opposed to that, and she wants to do same-sex releases so that money doesn't have to be spent on sterilization. TRACS is presenting a package to the city shortly in support of a sterilization bylaw. We are also looking at spay/neuter/adoption/release strategies. One pet store in the city so far is supporting us on both the bylaw and any rescue, sterilization, and adoption efforts.
