PETA exposes untreated suffering at All Creatures Great and Small animal shelter

For all of you who own dogs and respect them.....please check
out this important information about All Creatures Great and
Small (ACGS). For years, PETA fielded serious complaints
regarding conditions at this "no-kill" shelter. A seven-month
undercover investigation revealed cruelty, neglect, and
deplorable conditions for animals at ACGS.

Please click the link below to send a quick note to District
Attorney Jeff Hunt urging him to file the appropriate criminal
charges in the case.

Sick, injured, hungry, frightened, bored, and frustrated—the animals housed at All Creatures Great and Small (ACGS) have no respite from the cruel conditions documented by PETA's undercover investigator. The video footage depicts violation after violation of North Carolina's animal protection laws—which prohibit "any act, omission, or neglect causing or permitting unjustifiable pain, suffering, or death"—as well as state and local health laws and also shows deplorable conditions that are not acceptable by any animal-sheltering standards. In September, Henderson County District Attorney Jeff Hunt was asked to meet with an experienced Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) attorney and review some of the evidence against ACGS so that appropriate criminal charges could be considered against the people responsible for the suffering of animals imprisoned there. Mr. Hunt refused to do so.

Animals like Ms. Murphy—who was suffering from a crushed pelvis and a broken leg—were among dozens of animals whose suffering and basic needs were ignored day after day. Conditions depicted on the footage echo the reports on this facility that have been filling PETA's case file for more than a decade.

Please politely urge Mr. Hunt to review the ample evidence against ACGS carefully and to file criminal charges against the operators responsible for the animal suffering at this so-called shelter.

Please also take a moment to contact the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and ask the agency to use the evidence submitted by PETA to obtain permanent custody of the animals at All Creatures Great and Small.

The animals who are suffering at ACGS are depending on you!
