Yesterday I got serious about not buying anything made in China

Yesterday I got serious about not buying anything made in China. I had to put four itnes back on the shelves. In one case I found a made in Canada substitute. I did without the other things.

When I got home and was unpacking my groceries I realized that the mandarin oranges I had bought came from China. So no more mandarin oranges.

Was the quality of my life lessened by not buying these items? No - it was improved by the long-delayed resolution to never buy anything made in China. Good resolutions always makes one feel better about oneself, especially when they are adhered to. This resolution was easy.

I know that some businesses get things like empty stuffy toys from China and then fill them in Canada so that they can put a 'made in Canada' label on them. Does anyone know of a group lobbying the federal government to prevent that?
