Of all the species on our Earth, it is only the human species that finds itself with responsibilities, chief of which is the responsibility to ensure, in whatever way possible, that the rights of all other species are voiced and guaranteed. If the rights of other species are guaranteed, the rights of the human species are also guaranteed. And so, the Earth.

As human animals on this particular Planet, it must be argued that the Earth itself falls within those rights. All beings, including the Earth, must be allowed to fulfill the functions by which they exist and feel. The Interdependent-Co-arising of All is tantamount. If one feeling being suffers, all suffer.

Unfortunately there are those human animals which, by ignorance or malice, do not see, or hear, or touch, or taste, or smell our interdependence. These are the ones that doom the entire planet.

All that's happening is some of us are waking up to the way it is.
