Jean has taken an interest in prices charged by veterinarians in BC. The CBC was planning a programme on the high cost of obtaining medications for animals. They requested that people with concerns contact them. This resulted in an investigation on Marketplace, which included a number of suggestions about minimising costs, including asking for a prescription if the medication can be obtained from a human pharmacy.
