May I have permission to send the message and picture from this thread to PETA's Head Office?
I have been receiving querries from PETA as to why I have not renewed my membership this year.
I have written them more than once to tell them how I believe that the wonderful work they do in advocacy and changing public attitudes and helping to stop animal testing on various products is so very important - but must withdraw my support as long as they continue to kill animals. I cannot condone their vicious, underhanded acts of cruelty against innocent animals. To date, they have not replied to my e-mails.
Perhaps someone will actually take note of this most moving picture of one of the dogs timidly embracing the love that each of them so desperately need. That PETA would prefer to kill this sweet soul is obscene.
