I cannot believe that in this modern age, this sort of inhumane treatment can be allowed. I am someone who left England to live in a country I felt was an animal caring one. On the whole, I feel this to be true, but the longer I am here, I hear things like this and knowing that in the UK, we have an RSPCA, who are highly respected to act.
If this were there, the dog would be seized and the store shut down. Why then, should Canada be so different? To anyone who is close to this area, pls take a visit to this "so called petstore" (I would call it a house of horrors). Take a photo and report this. This cannot be allowed to continue! Surely the SPCA could not call this animal welfare???
I saw this thread and was sickened. Boycott buying from any pet stores, go to reputable shelters. I am sickened to the core to hear of this.
Bottom line is, it's the dog that is suffering, having to start its life in such appalling conditions.
We need more societies like AAS, keep up with your wonderful work, to you all, I applaud you...
