Animal Advocates Watchdog

Internet networking is making improvements and saving lives at warp speed

AAS gets emails almost daily, from all over BC, Cananda, the U.S. and the world. After so many years of advocacy we almost always are able to provide some sort of lead to help. Like this one...

Subject: help

hello,
my name is william martin, and I live on Yap island, in Micronesia. I came to live here about three months ago for a job. Yap is a beautiful island, with many dogs, most being wild.

Recently theyve been announcing a dog erradication day coming soon to get rid of some of the stray animals...while i understand the problem i detest their solution.

We need to get a vet here, if not permanently, at least for a few days to "fix" some of the dogs.

I was hoping you would be able to direct me to someone or some group that would be able to help with this situation. I admit to being somewhat self interested as I have adopted dogs here which i would like to have fixed before they all start having litters....

there are many animal and dog lovers here on the island who are all doing a lot to save as many dogs as we can, however there is simply to many. I know we would be able to raise some money for costs...but i know we would need help.

thank you.

sincerely,

William H. Martin Esq.
