The Esther Honey Foundation has been working in the Cook Islands since 1995. That's a hell of a long way from Yap, but Cathy will know the ins & outs of trying to start a program on a remote Pacific island.

I last heard from her in early 2006, when she was working in Seattle. She has worked in Saipan in the past, which is about as close to Yap as I can identify any dog/cat vet having worked.

# The nearest humane society as the crow flies appears to be the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, so I'll put them on the cc. list too. I believe they have a shortage of vets themselves, but if someone can fund a veterinary mission, they might be able to handle the logistics.

# Bali Street Dog Foundation founder Sherry Grant is on the list because her team has a demonstrated capacity to go anywhere & fix anything. They were the first team into Banda Aceh after the Indian Ocean tsunami, & have been the first on the spot after many other disasters.
