There is another side to the view presented here. If people cannot take their unwanted animals to the spca, they will dump them anywhere. Don't kid yourselves into thinking they will keep them if the spca doesn't take them. Also would you wan't to be the cat or dog that was refused, and end up living with the frustrated person that has controle over your life? I think a cage and dinner would be a better alternative to being thrown out of the car and/or killed by someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

Manufactured confusion: Can unlimited surrender assist in the process of changing perceptions or does it entrench a culture of irresponsible pet-ownership?
