I live up North (I'd rather not say where just yet) and I quit volunteering at my SPCA because of all the killing they did for space even after saying they weren't doing that anymore. It wasn't just the deaths that drove me away but all the dishonesty too. they were always in the papers, smiling and saying how much they love animals and how broke they are, always asking for money, but not one penny was spent on the animals making things any better for them. The kennels are still a disgrace and any dog that acts stressed fails the test and is killed and cats don't stand a chance at all.
